The lake offers a large sand bar, a family friendly restaurant which hosts live music & raffles, and is great for paddle boarding. 2 miles away is the golf course and the community center which has tennis courts & a baseball diamond. About 20 miles either way is Grand Rapids or Hibbing MN, which both offer numerous restaurants and bars to enjoy!
